Short Fiction and Poetry submissions are open for Issue #2 - released end of November. Please see our website for more information.

We are also accepting submissions of Flash Fiction and Non Fiction at any time.

Please submit only 1 piece of short or flash fiction and a maximum of 3 poems (on 1 single submission) at a time.

We accept simultaneous submissions, but kindly ask that you tell us in your cover note.

Text should be double spaced with your name and the name of your short story/poem in the page headers. Please save our eyes by using an acceptable font and font size!

Word limits: No limit for poetry, but for short fiction, we like to publish stories under 5,000 words, but will accept work up to 10,000 words. Stories submitted for Flash Friday should be no more than 1,000 words.

Nib doesn’t accept work that has been previously published, even if it was published on a personal blog.

Please include a short biography (including any publishing history) as this will be used if your work is published on Nib.
